Reimagining Public Administration

Craig Ritchie speaking from the lecturn at the ANZSOG conference

The Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) held its second Indigenous Affairs conference, Reimagining Public Administration: First Peoples, governance and new paradigms in Melbourne on 20-21 February 2019.

In his opening remarks to the conference, entitled Reimagining the public administration narrative in Indigenous affairs, AIATSIS CEO Craig Ritchie drew upon his experience as an intended beneficiary of public policy and public administration, and as a public servant who’s engaged in developing and delivering these processes, to outline four areas for rethinking and reimagining.

In his closing remarks Mr Ritchie reflected on the success of the conference, and other recent gatherings, to discuss the importance of Indigenous communities coming together.
