The latest issue of Australian Aboriginal Studies is now available as a print and digital journal. In its 42nd year of publication, Australian Aboriginal Studies is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal that publishes research on topics of significance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The first issue of 2025 contains eight articles exploring topics as diverse as culturally appropriate memorialisation at resting places, Noongar and Walbunja storytelling initiatives, housing insecurity in Indigenous communities, decolonising Indigenous epistemology and ontology, defining Indigenous agriculture and technological variations of Tiwi spear production arising from colonisation. One article employs the unusual method of an annotated bibliography to illustrate the Indigenous epistemology and axiology under examination.
