The latest issue of Australian Aboriginal Studies is now available as a print and digital journal. Now in its 41st year of publication, Australian Aboriginal Studies is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal that publishes research on topics of significance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The 2024 issue contains seven articles showcasing the work of authors from Yolngu Country to Geraldton and from contemporary Cape York communities to colonial Melbourne. Topics include studies on food security, trauma-informed mentoring, the regulatory environment for Indigenous medicines, tourism from an Indigenous standpoint theory, making Indigenous Reference Group meetings meaningful and artificial territorial boundaries imposed by colonial survey regimes.

The issue also features an introductory editorial by AIATSIS Chief Executive Officer Leonard Hill, news of some recent academic publications and a range of recent releases from our own Aboriginal Studies Press.

Order print copies of Australian Aboriginal Studies through the AIATSIS Shop or find the digital journal online through Informit or EBSCO.
