AIATSIS Central Australia Mparntwe (Alice Springs)
Join us to celebrate the opening of AIATSIS Central Australia!
For the first time in our history, we’re very excited to be extending our presence outside of Canberra by opening a brand new AIATSIS digitisation, engagement and exhibition space in Mparntwe (Alice Springs).
At AIATSIS Central Australia, we will be working in partnership with First Nations Media Australia to preserve community-held collections, while also training local staff in the collection, management and preservation of culturally sensitive materials in accordance with community wishes.
To learn more, come and explore AIATSIS Central Australia on Friday 2nd February between 4pm – 7pm. You’ll also be able to enjoy delicious eats, local music, face-painting and hair braiding. There’ll also be stalls to visit and lots of other fun to be had.
