Return of research materials process

The return of native title research materials to Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBCs) is an ongoing issue for Native Title Representative Bodies.

Native Title representative bodies often do not have the resources to be able to facilitate this processes effectively with PBCs.

YMAC is soon to hold its second Return of Research Materials workshop with a PBC to develop tailored guidelines on how they would like their native title research materials returned. This process includes defining the types of research materials to be returned as well as convenient formats for access. Access protocols and storage practices are also discussed.
