Summary
This Act amends eight others related to commerce, transport, mining and petroleum to remove out-dated requirements and reduce the regulatory burden on businesses.
The Act amends the Mining Act 1978. It will create a single point of contact for mining tenements, allow miner’s rights to be issued to any person including corporations, and removes the requirement to seek authorisation for mining iron ore.
