Australian Aboriginal Studies (AAS) is inviting papers for coming issues. AAS is a quality multidisciplinary journal published biannually that exemplifies the vision where the world’s Indigenous knowledge and cultures are recognised, respected and valued.
General Editor, Australian Aboriginal Studies, Dr Lawrence Bamblett said each edition includes a thought-provoking article by a leading Indigenous thinker about the importance of Indigenous knowledge to wellbeing, as well as Indigenous ways of living in and engaging with the world.
“The journal encourages contributions that articulate the ways in which research approaches and methodologies are underpinned by ethical decision-making,” said Dr Bamblett.
“AAS publishes blind peer-reviewed articles, research reports, book reviews and review essays that contribute to a transformative discourse about indigeneity, both within the Academy and within Indigenous communities. We encourage new voices to contribute to the conversations.”
AAS has been published by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) since 1983. With direction and support from a distinguished editorial board, it contributes to the Institute’s work of building of pathways to share and grow Indigenous knowledge.
