Camels and the Pitjantjara

The camel was introduced into central Australia in the early days of European penetration. The Pitjantjatjara (Pitjantjara) have tamed and used the camels as pack animals to facilitate their traditional patterns of movement. This film follows several families as they travel the MacDonnell Ranges.
