Report on native title representative body workshops: Directions, priorities and challenges

The Native Title Act emphasises agreement-making through non-adversarial approaches such as mediation, facilitation and negotiation. In 2004, the Indigenous Facilitation and Mediation Project undertook a series of workshops with Native Title Representative Bodies to identify their issues in relation to dispute management and decision-making. This report summarises the issues that emerged from those workshops including priority areas and recommendations for further research and future action.
