International joint management bibliography

This bibliography of international literature on the co-management of protected areas was put together at the request of those working in co-management. It is part of AIATSIS’ contribution to a co-management community of practice

The bibliography builds on a similar national bibliography prepared by CSIRO. This milestone is in furtherance of our involvement in the co-research team for the National Environment Research Program (NERP) Tropical Ecosystems Hub Project.

The bibliography includes a thematic reference list of literature on the subject of evaluating co-management as well as a list of general literature on co-management (i.e. not country or region specific). The remainder of the bibliography focuses on significant regions which were identified as important contributors to the debate on co-management: Africa, the Asian-Pacific, North America, Latin America and New Zealand.
