AIATSIS Submission to Senate Inquiry into Australia's faunal extinction crisis

In this submission, AIATSIS supports the inquiry into faunal extinction that includes consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholder groups. AIATSIS supports the resourcing of Aboriginal political communities who know the environment and are in place and on country to undertake ecological management. This will redress the destruction of the environment that has taken place to date and immediately address Australia's faunal extinction crisis by employing and engaging with Indigenous Knowledges effectively.
