The shift to Federal Court case management of native title matters in 2012 has seen some profound changes for all parties to claims. This presentation will look at a claimant experience of the native title process and getting to an outcome by consent. It will also examine perspectives on what native title can deliver in NSW, and the group’s aspirations for post‑determination.

The Bandjalang Aboriginal Corporation Registered Native Title Body Corporate was established in 2013 to hold the Bandjalang People’s native title on trust post their two consent determinations in December 2013. The Directors of the Corporation represent the Bandjalang People and the five main families that make up this group of Traditional Owners of the NSW north coast area in the region of Evans Head
