Emerging issues in Indigenous land and sea management (Part 1)
A key outcome of the pursuit of native title from an Indigenous perspective is to regain control of land and undertake responsibilities to care for country. There is now exponential interest in land and water policy, funding, research and livelihoods with traditional owners at the forefront of this important work. AIATSIS is running a workshop to map out emerging issues in land and sea management and aims to:
Identify emerging issues in practice and policy development for Indigenous land and sea management
Promote national and regional connections between Indigenous land and sea management leaders and practitioners
Identify research priorities to support the development of Indigenous land and sea management.
