The Mabo High Court decision created the opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to return to the essence of who we are; to reinvigorate our cultures with a strong economic base. To achieve this we need to build strong governance, an educated and trained workforce, safe communities and to focus on economic growth and development based on our First Nations. This is the focus of the PM's IAC."
