What's new in the ABS' Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Statistical Program?
This seminar details the recent developments and future directions of the Australian Bureau of Statistics' (ABS) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Statistical Program. Highlights of the session will include an update on the 2014-15 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Survey and an overview of the ABS' Round Table on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Statistics and its role in improving how the ABS engages with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
Recent initiatives regarding the return of information from the 2012-13 Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey back to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities will also be covered, as well as the ABS’ plans to revitalise the ABS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Framework.
