The livelihood values of Indigenous customary fishing project has seen AIATSIS and three diverse Aboriginal organisations work together to document Aboriginal fishing values. Reflecting on the lessons learned from the project so far, this presentation will explore how the impacts of past research, partner priorities, and the alignment of research methods with community context interact to determine the intensity of research impact, and how this relates to conventional ideas about the ‘success’ of a project.
