Empowerment and the move towards self-determination

As Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women there is now a transformation and change in improving our self determination through empowerment and economic gains. Empowerment and self determination are becoming a potential character to our women, who have been marginalised and oppressed. 

This empowerment and self determination has been challenging, because we had been restricted through some laws and policies. The women's circle is a standing point for us to talk more of how we connect and facilitate one another's development for ourselves and our communities.
