Following the announcement by Minister Scullion of funding under the Northern Australia White Paper to support building the long term capacity of native title holders and PBCs, in November 2016 the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet consulted native title stakeholders on the support needs for PBCs. From the numerous responses, it has identified priority areas for support. In this presentation Greg Roche, Special Adviser, Housing Land and Culture Division, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet will outline the Government’s PBC support initiatives. As part of the presentation he will jointly with AIATSIS introduce changes made to the AIATSIS hosted and PMC sponsored PBC one-stop-online resource for PBCs: www.nativetitle.org.au.
