A Pathway Approach to PBC independence and growth

PBCs have aspirations to be independent entities but often without a substantial funder there is no clear way forward. The steering committee of the Realising Local and Regional Desert Economies project assisted by Desert Support Services have developed a 'Pathway Approach' to achieving their PBC's goals of being independent and increasing opportunities for native title holders. The Pathway Approach is most relevant for PBCs who are starting up or heavily reliant on external service providers. Two members of the steering committee will present on why the Pathway Approach is important and how it has been useful using their PBCs as case studies. I will complement this by explaining how service providers can assist in helping PBCs along the pathway.
