During this interactive session, Jackson McDonald will run through common myths about charitable trusts and bust them wide open! The session is designed to bring you up to speed with the latest from the world of charitable trusts.

Topics that we will cover include:
• Home ownership for Traditional Owners
• Aboriginal economic development
• Social impact investing
• Keeping benefits for only common law holders
• “Indigenous Disadvantage” as a category of charity
• With tax free native title benefits, why use a charitable trust?

During the session you will hear from Indigenous leader Jason Masters from the Kuruma Marthudunera People on his community’s experiences with some of these topics.
Attendees will take home a cheat sheet of ideas to explore with their organisations.
