..SUBJECT   Micheal Blacklock, baby; Ruth Heathcock

..DSCRPTN   this baby premature born at Marranboy Hostel. So tiny I

laid it in saucer of olive oil and laid it in warm oven where

after massage and mouth to mouth, it started to breathe. Then

laid it on bare hot skin of old Paddy, the 104 temperature

patient while we christened it Michael Blacklock. Paddy said

"whats that, a bandicoot?" It looked like newly hatched bird,

featherless skin covered bones. Weighed one and three quarter

pounds. This photo, Michael at 6 months, fit and intelligent,

holding my engagement ring on piece of cotton. That ring went

over his wrist at birth. Mrs Blacklock was conveyed by railway

quad, pushed 15 mile by fettlers through severe electric storm
