Dennis Daniel Bannister
Bannister copied vocabularies and sentences recorded
between 1838 and 1975, consolidated those for languages in the
Brisbane region into Turrubul-English, English-Turrubul
wordlists, and Guwar, Njula, Gurai-English and reverse
wordlists.
Reproduced Meston's vocabularies of Queensland and New South
Wales languages from the Meston linguistic collection at Oxley
Library.
Gave notes on grammar and phonetic structure of languages.
Compiled comparative tables for 20 words in Queensland
languages and for the same words in Australian languages.
