Harriet Kater

Harriet joined IBA as Renewable Energy Portfolio Manager in March 2017 after working for 10 years with energy consultancy Energetics. Her position at IBA was created in response to board approval of IBA’s Renewable Energy Strategy in September 2016. Harriet has worked extensively with some of Australia’s largest energy consumers, including Wesfarmers and Woodside, on energy management programs, carbon strategy, GHG reporting systems and more recently due to declining technology costs, renewable energy investment and procurement. She has a strong understanding of the energy policy debate, the changing technology landscape and the emerging commercial opportunities for organisations and communities. Prior to joining Energetics, Harriet previously worked in program delivery with a number of community organisations , including the NSW Reconciliation Council. Harriet grew up outside Bombala in southern NSW and now lives in Sydney with her young family.
