PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It is a condition of use of the Miranen Archive that users ensure that any disclosure of the information contained in this database is consistent with the views and sensitivities of relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Users are asked to be aware that the papers of R.H. Mathews contain many references to the ceremonial life of Aboriginal people. These works form a central part of the author’s writings and are a major part of the database.

In compliance with the sensitivities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples substantial efforts have been made to ensure that the database does not include information about the specific content of ceremonies.  The Library apologises for any distress that an oversight in this regard may cause clients and requests they inform the Library of any concerns with the content of the database.
