..DSCRPTN   this is a a very interesting photo of Snell's

            reconditioning party at the base camp. The centre corkwood

            tree was blazed by John Forrest in 1874. The smaller tree

            was blazed by Hann in 1902. In front of the smaller tree is

            the barricade built by Forrest when he intruded onto sacred

            ground. Forrest's corkwood tree was burnt. Hann's tree is

            sitting in Perth museum
